Opponent Update

Liberal millionaire activist Sean Eldridge purchased a $1.9 home in the 19th Congressional District in early January, signaling his intention to run for a seat in an area where he has no ties. Sean was born in Canada, grew up in Ohio, and in recent years lived in NYC.  His husband is Facebook co-founder, New Republic publisher, and Obama online organizer Chris Hughes, and together they donated over $500,000 last cycle to left-wing candidates and causes.  With a combined net worth of over $700 million, Sean's super PAC was responsible for the defeat of a state Republican candidate and he has now founded a venture capital firm to sprinkle cash to local businesses during his run for Congress.
